Flood and earthquake simulation in virtual reality at the CESIR

Egyptians, Jordanians and Palestinians officers from risk management strutures met at the  Euro-Mediterranean Centre of Risk Simulation (Centre Euro-Méditerranéen de Simulation de Risques - CESIR) in Valabre (France) for a simulation exercise on flood and earthquake from 17 to 20 May 2016.

This 4 days training workshop has been done through the CESIR simulator mechanism using a high tech virtual reality and the accurate equipment: 2 full shifts of helicopter pilot and aircraft besides a control station "boat", 130 screens, 90 PC.

The objective of this workshop was to prepare the participants for the management of  operational responses to major natural disasters. Participants had the opportunity to assess a crisis, share relevant information, manage and process information, organise on-site rescue, coordinate implemented resources, organize the return to nrormal situation.
